Our Founder's Story

Lifestyle Property Group was founded in 2016 by Shiv Haria with a clear mission: to help everyday people build financial security and independence through property investment.

Like many of our clients, Shiv's journey began with a personal challenge. In 2013, both of his parents suffered heart attacks just months apart, which forced them out of work for an extended period. It was a stark reminder of how vulnerable we are without a safety net, and it sparked a desire to create an additional income stream that didn't rely on trading time for money.

At the time, Shiv and his partner (now wife) became increasingly focused on building passive income, not just for themselves, but for their families too. After devouring books, courses, and advice from those already on the path, they identified buy-to-let property in Leeds as a low-risk, high-potential opportunity.

Their first purchase, a four-bedroom property in East Leeds, became the foundation of a growing portfolio. With every property, they refined their process, built confidence, and witnessed first-hand the impact of long-term rental income: covering living costs, reducing financial stress, and enabling more freedom in life.

But it wasn't just about building wealth. Shiv realised that many people around him wanted the same results, but didn't have the time, knowledge, or confidence to start. That's where the idea for Lifestyle Property Group was born.

By offering a fully managed, end-to-end service, from sourcing and purchasing to refurbishment and lettings, the business was built to remove the barriers that hold people back from investing. It gave clients the tools, support, and expertise needed to start their property journey with confidence.

A decade later, LPG has helped over 450 clients invest in the thriving Northern property market, creating additional income streams and helping them move closer to financial freedom.
