Biography
Shiv Haria founded Lifestyle Property Group in 2016 with a clear mission: to help everyday people build financial security and independence through property investment.
Like many of the company's clients, his journey began with a personal challenge. In 2013, both of his parents suffered heart attacks just months apart, which forced them out of work for an extended period. It was a stark reminder of how vulnerable we are without a safety net, and it sparked a desire to create an additional income stream that did not rely on trading time for money.
Shiv and his partner (now wife) became increasingly focused on building passive income, not just for themselves but for their families too. After reading widely and taking advice from those already on the path, they identified buy-to-let property in Leeds as a low-risk, high-potential opportunity. Their first purchase, a four-bedroom property in East Leeds, became the foundation of a growing portfolio.
Recognising that many people wanted the same results but lacked the time, knowledge or confidence to start, Shiv built Lifestyle Property Group as a fully managed, end-to-end service covering sourcing, purchasing, refurbishment and lettings. Since then the company has helped over 100 clients invest in the northern property market, and has collected more than 100 written reviews with zero negatives.
He writes the guides on this site covering tax, mortgages, stamp duty, the 18 year cycle and investing from overseas, drawing on his own portfolio and the deals the team runs each month.
